Consistency is key

Ok so COVID took me down the rabbit hole!!!! I got a little derailed here trying to get everyone back on track after this incredibly strange year plus!!! We have been super busy (which is fabulous) but has left me exhausted with little to no time! So… I apologize my intentions were good and I’m back so let’s get consistent!

So during all this crazy our salon has gone thru some ups, downs and inbetweens! And from what I hear most salons have as well. We’ve cycled thru quite a few stylists for an array of reasons and were adjusting as needed. What I’ve noticed throughout this pandemic is people are changing… more than ever it’s about the experience. Some are still in rush mode and want it get in and get out as fast as possible and that’s their choice but it does come at a cost. That kind of appointment will never get you the best results. My vision is always first the integrity of the hair. I truly don’t believe anyone ever LOVES their hair unless it’s healthy. The perfect cut, perfect color…only go so far if it is unmanageable, broken, dry, frizzy… treatments are so important. It’s much easier to prevent than repair so when your hair is being colored or lightened the strength is being weakened, bonds are being tested and broken down and the integrity is being depleted. It is really important that your natural pH is being restored for optimal results. I personally use an array of different treatments as every client has different needs and different price thresholds. But nonetheless there is always something for everyone. So when we are thinking about what our look will be please include keeping up or improving the integrity of your hair. If your stylist isn’t offering these things to you, ask. Your time in the chair should make you look and feel amazing but hopefully you also leave with the tools to uphold that amazing! I personally am an ambassador for Kérastase. If you have ever purchased a CD and loved every song than you can totally understand my love for Kérastase! Most stylists will have an array of different products from different lines that they use, which I also have but with Kérastase I love it all!!! It is a prescriptive line so you really should be analyzed and advised before purchase. Not only do you get instant gratification, you also get long term hair help. They have everything from basic shampoo and conditioner to hair repair and night serums. Which leads me back to in salon treatments which Kérastase has a many but I also use different treatments depending on level of damage and needs. I have recently been working on repairing hair from at home mistakes due to COVID and also damage done by other salons and stylists. Just like all fields we all do our job differently. Some stylists are super fast, super artsy, super social, super lots of things but no one stylist is right for everyone. So pick yours wisely and the relationship will be amazing! Till next next time love yourself, love you hair and keep enjoying the journey!
